Current Job Vacancies

The RESTORE project aims to improve income and employment opportunities for vulnerable rural households through climate-friendly, energy-efficient technologies. This involves aligning technology providers with rural value chain actors, equipping small businesses with energy-efficient solutions, and building entrepreneurial capacity.

KAKUTE Projects, through its RESTORE Project, is supporting the dissemination of solar energy solutions for productive use in rural communities of Tanzania. The project is currently operational in Monduli and Babati Districts.  We hereby invite Qualified solar technology suppliers to submit proposals for the supply and installation of solar energy solutions tailored for small rural businesses.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven experience in the solar energy market, with successful installations of solar pumps, solar-powered digital/ICT centers, and solar-powered grocery shops.
  • Demonstrated capacity to visit rural sites regularly and provide consistent after-sales support with tailor-made technical solutions.
  • Preference will be given to women-led solar companies.
  • Firms should be based in Northern Tanzania (Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, or nearby regions).
  • Proof of 3+ years delivering productive-use solar solutions to rural communities.
  • Capacity to provide customized small solar business solutions valued at a maximum of USD 2,000 per tailored system.
  • Availability as part of this competitive process, they must be able to conduct their own technical site evaluations in either Manyara or Monduli and share designs for selection between October 10th and 15th 2025

  • Company profile & official registration documents.
  • Evidence of relevant experience (contracts, references, project reports).
  • Technical capacity and key personnel information.
  • Proof of geographical presence in Northern Tanzania e.g. Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara or nearby regions
  • Written commitment to undertake fieldwork starting 10th October 2025.
